Assessment Writer for Middle School Robotics

eDynamic Learning is searching for experienced assessment writers to create formative and summative assessments for elective courses delivered online to middle school students. The company produces online courses in a variety of non-core curriculum subjects with a current focus on career-type electives in business, health science, information technology, and sciences. For this project, we are interested in individuals with a background in Robotics.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

  • Skilled at developing engaging, relevant assessments, especially multiple-choice questions, that address a variety of Depth of Knowledge (DOK) levels/higher level Bloom’s Taxonomy (apply, analyze, evaluate, create).
  • Teaching experience (2 years, minimum), preferably for a middle and/or high school.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education would be ideal though not necessary depending on teaching experience.
  • Collaborative teamwork mentality.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • 16-32 activities which require students to apply knowledge and to create a product + evaluation rubrics.
  • 40 open-ended critical thinking questions with suggested answers.
  • 16 open-ended, thought-provoking discussion questions with suggested conversation points.
  • 440 multiple choice questions with correct answers; 40 practice multiple choice questions require correct and incorrect answer feedback/rationale.
  • 40 true/false questions with correct answers.

Successful candidates may be invited to audition by producing one (1) unit of assessments (the audition).

Upon successful completion of the project, we may offer a complete course (8 units) to the successful candidate. We expect to be able to revise the content 1-2 times (if needed), working in concert with our in-house curriculum team.

We like to develop rewarding long-term partnerships with writers. We look for assessment writers who produce high quality work, can collaborate with other writers and subject matter experts and editors, meet deadlines, can work remotely and who are open to using technology (Smartsheet, Slack, Dropbox).

Writer for Agriscience Course

Are you a dynamic CTE educator? We’re searching for Subject Matter Experts with a teaching background in Agriscience to write high school courses.

eDynamic Learning is the largest publisher of elective and CTE educational resources for 6th-12th grades in North America. Share your knowledge and passion for the subject with high schoolers from coast-to-coast.

The ideal candidate will be well versed in the fields of Agriscience with a solid understanding of appropriate state standards. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience teaching at the high school or community college level. You need to able to write in an engaging and conversational style appropriate for 13 to 17-year-olds.

Other experience:

  • Ability to disseminate knowledge via writing
  • Experience working with state standards

Our course will equip students with the foundational knowledge for a variety of career opportunities. It will be a two-semester course with 8 units of study in each (each unit will consist of 5500 – 7000 words). As part of the hiring process, potential candidates may be invited to participate in a paid audition to demonstrate their ability to write material at an appropriate level and in an engaging manner.
