What are some examples of LMSs that you support?

eDynamic Learning content is compatible with most common Learning Management Systems such as Agilix Buzz, Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, Schoology and Brightspace by D2L. If you would like to use eDynamic Learning courses, but do not have an LMS, we can supply one for you.

What are your System Requirements?

Do your courses run on Chromebook?

Yes, we support Chromebook; however, some technology courses, such as Game Design or 3D Modeling, will require larger processors. Please see the Required Materials brochure, in the syllabus for more information.

How do I contact support?

How do students enroll in an eDynamic Learning course?

The institution’s LMS administrator enrolls all users.

How do teachers access eDynamic Learning courses?

The institution’s LMS administrator enrolls all users into the LMS. Once enrolled, teachers gain access via their username and password. You can contact your LMS administrator for this information.

Do you collect student personal data?

eDynamic Learning does not collect student personal data; however, if you would like to know more about how personal information is collected and used by our trusted partners, please see our privacy policy.

How do you safeguard privacy?

We employ industry standard practices to protect student privacy, which is in line with common privacy law recommendations in the US and Canada. Please visit our privacy policy for more information.

 

Course Design

How long does it take to complete a course?

While each classroom is different, typically, it takes about 10 hours per unit. For example, an 8-unit course can take 80 hours to complete. This will be different for each class, depending on the instructional method.

A pacing guide is included in the Teacher’s Resources within the LMS. Each pacing guide contains:

    • Suggestions for delivery of eDynamic Learning courses in a teacher-directed blended classroom. This provides a general overview of how to work with each element of our courses in a teacher-led environment.
    • Suggestions for delivery of an eDynamic Learning course in a student-directed, teacher-facilitated online classroom. This section provides a general overview of how to work with each element of our courses in a teacher-facilitated environment.

 

How do you promote interactivity, active learning, and student engagement strategies with eDynamic Learning courses?

eDynamic Learning courses provide many opportunities for active learning and are designed to increase engagement.

Found in the Lesson Material:

  • Interactive Features: All new courses releasing in May 2019 and beyond will now feature at least one way interact with the content per lesson, resulting in 5-8 interactive elements per unit. Examples of interactive features include fill-in-the-blank questions, ‘hint’ boxes that reveal further information, or a slide show.
  • Self-Assessment Practice Opportunities: The last lesson of every unit for each course released after May 1st, 2019, will include multiple choice and true/false questions for self-review, with correct and incorrect answer feedback.
  • Critical Thinking Questions: These questions are formulated to help activate students’ higher level thinking skills.
  • Labs: Labs involve case scenarios with practical engagement activities for the students, i.e., watch a video, synthesize information, do web research.
  • Activities: These activities require students to produce work, i.e., an essay, paragraph, an app, etc.
  • Discussion Questions: These questions are designed to encourage students to share learning experiences with each other and/or their teacher.
  • Flashcards: Each unit contains a deck of flashcards that allow learners to review the key terms and ideas found within the unit.
  • Audio Summaries: Each course contains professional audio narration of all unit content; these summaries facilitate students learning in different ways and provide support for English language learners.

A rubric is included to give students a tool to self-assess and reflect on their learning.

How do students submit assignments?

Students submit their work as a file attachment using the dropbox tool following the assignment.

How are assignments graded?

There are two types of assignment grading:

  1. Auto-graded, where the systems scores the assignment automatically. This includes unit quizzes, midterm and final.
  2. Teacher-graded, which includes Activities Labs, Critical Thinking and Discussion Questions.

What is the reading level of your courses?

  • The reading level for eDynamic Learning Middle School questions is Grade 7.
  • The reading level for eDynamic Learning High School courses is Grade 10.

Can your courses be customized?

  • Text, surveys, video, documents, quiz questions, etc., can all be added. Content can also be deleted or hidden. Please see your LMS administrator for more information.

Yes, we currently make our courses available to homeschool networks such as Red Comet. You can also use eDynamic Learning courses with eDynamic Learning Instructional Services.

What type of device will my child need?

Why are industry certifications important?

The eDynamic Learning Career Ready Program is the only program that offers sequenced learning tracks to put students on a path to obtain industry certifications and to secure employment in high-paying, high-demand jobs.

The career pathways were chosen in areas that could provide students with high wage earning potential, but also where there will be a projected large number of jobs in the near future.

The eDynamic Learning Career Ready Program provides schools and districts with a cost-effective way to improve retention, increase attendance, and boost graduation rates while meeting the future job and economic needs of their communities.

eDynamic Learning incorporates industry-recognized certification exam standards as part of its course planning process, and writers ensure that courses teach these exam standards.

What certifications do you prepare students for?

Students take the exams at a local certified testing center for each specific exam.
