Monica Martinez

Monica Isabel Martinez is an educator, graphic designer and photographer. She has been in the educational technology field for over 25 years, working in the US, Canada, LATAM, EMEA, and APAC regions. Monica is currently the EDU Content Manager for Google, overseeing the Teacher Center.

Throughout her career, she’s supported educators pursuing their Google Certifications, has trained teachers on the integration of technology, and has supported districts with their Google Workspace deployments. She has also been the event manager for small (Google Summits) to large educational conferences (TCEA).

Monica has also helped lead efforts for a more equitable and Anti-Bias, Anti-Racist (ABAR) world. Her ABAR work includes the Young Christian Latina Leaders (YCLL), Latina Speaker Series, Our Voice Alliance (OVA), ISTE’s Equity Forum, and The Liberated Educator program. Her work with YCLL focuses on inspiring and empowering young Latinas ages 12 – 25 through events and workshops on building confidence, leadership skills and getting support for going to 4-year universities. Her work with the latter programs focuses on empowering educators of color and supporting all educators on their ABAR journey.

Monica has a master’s degree in Educational Technology and is also a Google Certified Innovator, Google Education Trainer, GEG Leader in Texas, and a Design Thinking Coach for the Google Innovator program.
