Career Awareness and Exploration
Starting in Middle School
With career interests and aspirations forming as early as age 10, the middle grades are the ideal time to start making connections between students’ academic work and their future career paths. In fact, it is critical to provide career exploration to provide students the ability to narrow their focus and match their interests and skills should they decide to enter a CTE program.
Additionally, according to the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE), students who engage in career exploration are more likely to understand the relevance of their coursework. Career-connected learning helps students understand how academics connect to real-world careers which can improve academic motivation.

Career Awareness in the Middle Grades (5-9)
The benefits of early STEM and career awareness are far-reaching. By providing students in the middle grades with engaging, career-connected learning opportunities we can spark their interest in emerging technologies and in-demand, high-wage careers.
With Learning Blade you can easily integrate STEM, CS, and CTE concepts into a child’s education. Appropriate for grades 5-9, Learning Blade provides supplemental materials to contextualize science, math, English and social studies lessons by grounding them in careers and technologies. Each of our lessons and resources is indexed so you can see what state standards are being met.
Middle School Career Exploration
Our award-winning instructional framework offers one consistent and simplistic design and interface that employs backwards design methodology to support best practices on how today’s students learn. All of our courses are developed in-house by teachers and subject matter experts and each course is designed and written with engaging curriculum narratives. Within our Digital Curriculum courses each lesson is chunked into bite-sized pieces of text with the integration of visuals to keep students engaged. Teachers can also customize course units and lessons allowing you to personalize your instruction.
Our Career Exploration 1 gives students valuable insights to professions covered by the National Career Clusters® and the field of energy, helping them match their interests and skills and guide their focus for the future.

Our Career Exploration 2 course allows students to identify their strengths and passions and helps them narrow a career path that aligns best with their interests and talents. They’ll also learn more about workplace skills including leadership skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills.

Middle School Exploring Information Technology allows middle school students to examine various IT pathways of web and digital communications, information and support services, network systems, and programming and software development.
Middle School Exploring Health Science allows middle school students to examine five different pathways within health science and learn the foundational health-related content any career within this field requires.
Middle School Exploring Business allows middle school students to examine various career options in the field of business, such as management, human resources, business operations, information management, and accounting.
Middle School Accelerated Courses (High School Level)
If students have already determined a career cluster they wish to pursue but are looking to learn more about the career tracks available in that pathway, eDynamic Learning offers Introductory Explorer courses in Information Technology, Health Science or Business.
CTE Pathways
Career exploration puts students on the path to enroll in CTE pathways later in their education journey. The eDynamic Learning Career Ready Program can give your students on a clearly defined, national-standard aligned path to explore career options and acquire the technical knowledge and skills to work towards industry-recognized certification and high-demand careers.
