Jenice Shea
Jenice Shea is a self-motivated, enthusiastic, patient and caring educator with a passionate commitment to student development and the learning experience. She possess strong people skills: sensitive to students’ specialized and changing needs; proven ability to develop rapport with students. She has the ability to individualize instruction, based on students’ interests and needs, strong interest in activities outside the classroom. Furthermore, she is skilled in all general areas of business education, business technology including coding and industry certifications, and office administration. Outstanding communication skills allows Jenice to present information in a variety of ways emphasizing relevance of class materials to the world beyond the classroom. She holds three state teaching endorsements, CompTIA A+ certification, and is highly qualified in reading and language arts. Jenice is Oracle Academy trained and uses this training in her classroom. She is the lead advisor for the local Future Business Leaders of America chapter and the MIT Launch Memphis area chapter. Heather Pelletier
Heather Pelletier has been an Alaskan educator for over 20 years. She was instrumental in the startup of Mat-Su iTech, where students may take an online course as part of their school day. This program has increased student educational opportunities across the Mat-Su Borough School District, and has been implemented in all high schools across the district. Heather provides in-district training year around for both online and blended teaching support for teachers using online learning platforms. Heather played an instrumental part in rolling out policy and procedures for online delivery and assessment of high school curriculum during school closures. She is currently serving as an online learning consultant for the Lower Yukon School District in northwestern Alaska.
Jennifer Kolar-Burden
Jennifer Kolar-Burden is the Director of Curriculum for Illinois Virtual School, a state-wide public virtual program. Jennifer is proud to have served as a face-to-face teacher in downtown and suburban Chicago and as teacher, writer, and now Director of Curriculum for IVS. Her work centers around curriculum, instruction, and program implementation for schools across Illinois. Jennifer has experience in building courses and programs across grade levels and subject areas. Jennifer championed the quality program initiative at IVS through partnerships with Quality Matters, where she is also a Master Reviewer, and the Virtual Learning Leadership Alliance. With Jennifer’s leadership IVS has successfully launched Credit Recovery, CTE, and Middle School programs. She is currently working to help schools develop their own remote education solutions.
