eDynamic Learning Technology Roadmap

May 22, 2018

2018-2019

Great online courses that connect students with their passion and lead to careers is the core of eDynamic Learning. But that is not the only thing we develop. We are always looking at ways to improve the technology that our courses are built upon, whether that is the codebase each course is developed with or the infrastructure that courses are delivered over. This article is an overview for school and district Learning Management System administrators to find out where eDynamic Learning is going this year, and how to get the latest eDynamic Learning.

Introducing your eDynamic Learning Account
Want to get notified about the newest eDynamic Learning course release? Or learn about the latest incremental updates to existing eDL courses? How about a place to download Teacher Guides, or a nice big course image for your marketing materials? That is the role of the new eDynamic Learning Account: a single place to get up-to-date on all things eDynamic.

All about the new Buzz

For schools that use eDynamic Learning courses through our partner learning management system Agilix BrainHoney, you will be glad to know that Agilix has released a brand new version called Agilix Buzz 2 (some of you have already been using this system!). Buzz 2 offers a great new look and feel, much improved usability, and highly requested features such as Blackout Dates. And the best part? You don’t need to migrate anything. It is just a better (and prettier!) way to access all your courses and student data. Learn more here:

We have written over 25 guides to help your teachers learn the system and save themselves tons of time. See the whole collection here:

LTI FTW!

eDynamic Learning has been making courses for about a decade. Some of you have been with us for a long time. Each year we release updated versions of our courses and we endeavor daily to keep our courses fresh. However, it can be difficult to keep all the eDynamic Learning content on your system all synced up with your busy schedule. So let us do it for you!

Learning Tools Interoperability is a standard that allows publishers to centralize content and push updates to client LMSs. Starting this summer, eDynamic Learning will roll out LTI-enhanced versions of all our courses. Furthermore, to make this upgrade even easier, we will be offering a free installation service. Stay tuned for more information on this initiative soon.

Closing Out Classic

Last year, we re-released our entire catalog in a new format we call Flex. Not only did every eDynamic Learning course get a modern look and feel, but they also became usable on mobile devices, as well as new WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility features.

A year later we have gotten great feedback from students and teachers about the new look. All of our courses over the past year have been released exclusively in Flex. Now it is time to say farewell to the eDynamic Learning Classic layout. Support for the Classic versions of our courses will come to an end this summer. If you have not upgraded to Flex yet, then know that this upgrade is included when you get your LTI-enhanced versions.

What’s next?

Every year eDynamic Learning pushes the boundaries of career and technical education, whether it is releasing cool new courses or introducing new technology to deliver those courses. This summers’ milestones are focused on making things easier for teachers and administrators, but upcoming milestones include new technology-enhanced interactives and other pedagogical enhancements to make eDynamic Learning courses even better for learners.

As always, if you have any questions, please reach out to your account rep, or ask on support.edynamiclearning.com.
