Jennifer Kolar-Burden
Director of Curriculum, Illinois Virtual School
Jennifer Kolar-Burden is the Director of Curriculum for Illinois Virtual School, a state-wide public virtual program. Jennifer is proud to have served as a face-to-face teacher in downtown and suburban Chicago and as teacher, writer, and now Director of Curriculum for IVS. Her work centers around curriculum, instruction, and program implementation for schools across Illinois. Jennifer has experience in building courses and programs across grade levels and subject areas. Jennifer championed the quality program initiative at IVS through partnerships with Quality Matters, where she is also a Master Reviewer, and the Virtual Learning Leadership Alliance. With Jennifer’s leadership IVS has successfully launched Credit Recovery, CTE, and Middle School programs. She is currently working to help schools develop their own remote education solutions.
